what I'm exploring
The threads I keep coming back to, from a gym-sized arcade game to a small moment of welcome.
1. Spaces that respond
Light and sound that guide an experience
Projection and physical interaction
Spaces that invite people to explore
Turning ordinary rooms into something unexpected
2. Playful interaction
Creative coding and small experiments
Characters with personality
Feedback that makes you want to try again
Finding room for play in everyday tasks
3. Everyday systems
Registration and check-in that make sense
Tools for the people using them
Designing with children and families in mind
Clear, welcoming communication
4. Visual storytelling
Photography built around an idea
Meaning in ordinary objects
Composition, lighting and colour
Making a complex thought easy to see

About me
I’m Dom, a Media Studies student at UBC Okanagan with a background in engineering. Live production, working with kids and untangling registration systems have all shaped how I think about design. I like making things that spark curiosity and help people feel they belong.
I’m interested in the moment a space, a screen or a system seems to notice you. I use technology, play and visual storytelling to make that moment feel personal.
Selected work
A live event, two developing prototypes and a photographic series. Different forms, with people at the centre of each.
Experience Design · Completed · 2024
Mega Pac-Man
A gym-sized arcade game brought to life through choreographed lighting and sound.
Interaction Design · In progress
Play Wall
A Processing prototype exploring how a projected wall could invite people to play.
Interaction Design · Early prototype
Boggle
An animated character exploring how a routine check-in could become a personal welcome.

Photography · Completed · 2026
The Things We Trade
Five photographs about what we give up for a life with screens.

Say hello
Have a project, an internship, or an idea you’d like to talk through? I’d love to hear about it.
I’m open to creative collaborations, freelance work and conversations about what we could make together.
